Tech Drawing Board

An A4 drawing board that enables a touch reader to create drawings they can feel as they draw. Suitable for free-hand drawing or more technical applications using the drawing equipment supplied.

A special rubber surface on the framed board enables raised lines to appear on the top surface of either plastic embossing film or standard 80gsm copy paper when scored with a stylus or medium ball point pen. The paper is clipped into the plywood frame which has tactile markers at 1cm and 5cm intervals that also serve to locate rulers to enable quick production of lines parallel to either axis. The kit also includes 45 and 60 degree setsquares, a 180 degree protractor and a compass to aid with more technical drawing by the student. The compass is fitted with a stylus and rubber straps that assist with holding the compass legs firmly in place whilst drawing an arc.

The board and tools are housed in a plastic document box with sufficient room to add a folder of drawing paper/film(10 sheets supplied) and potentially extra equipment such as a set of French curves.

A4 plastic embossing film is generally available from Vision Australia or Quantum RLV but extra can be requested when ordering the drawing board for $20 per 50 sheets.
