This version of our Match10 game contains pairs of wooden counters etched with 20 different tactile designs. One corner of each counter is cut to assist with removal from the grid but also serves to define the orientation of a design. 
 
Place any 10 patterns in the 2x5 frame and matching can then take place using the same patterns as those in the frame. To create a harder challenge, make all 20 patterns available for matching. Changing the pattern selection and arrangement in the frame means this matching game can be played over and over again.
These patterns of lines, dots and checks enables exploration of concepts of orientation, symmetry and scale.
This extension of the Match10 game can be used alone or in conjunction with the textures game to make an even more complicated and fun matching challenge.
 
The frame wells are 40mm square and 8mm deep, making them a handy 10s frame for other activities. Made from plantation Hoop pine ply.
